VISIBILITY (please read carefully these 4 points)

1) LIVE UPDATE : During the training we will run different actions in order to give to your friends/family and others person interested  by the workshop the possibility to follow your  activities LIVE. Therefore we will publish regularly pictures/videos/info on the SUITCASE CIRCUS blog (http://suitcase-circus.blogspot.co.uk/ ). We will as well  update our Facebook, Twitter and Youtube Chanel every 30 minutes.

2) TELL YOUR FRIENDS/FAMILY/COLLEAGUE and others persons who may be interested to follow your activities during this workshop. Send them the link to the blog (http://suitcase-circus.blogspot.co.uk/ ) or invite them to join Everything is Possible Facebook account (‘’Everything is Possible’’: the one with a picture of a blond girl and a sign with Everything is Possible written in green).




3) ADD THE SUITCASE CIRCUS COVER ON YOUR FACEBOOK ACCOUNT: To help you to share the event, we created a special Suitcase Circus banner that you can add on your Facebook.

4) JOIN US ON FACEBOOK/TWITTER/YOUTUBE:If you have a Twitter account I encourage you to join us and to use #glwsuitcasecircus every time you tweet about the workshop. We will let as well one laptop on which participants will have possibility to tweet. If you don’t have twitter, we will be happy to explain you how to use it.

“3 min Skills” presentation

On Monday, 2pm, we will give 3 min to each of you in order to showcase your best circus skills. It would be great if you could already prepare this 3 min individual presentation. If you need any specific equipment please email me by this Tuesday lunch time (Tomorrow!) the list of equipment you may need as well as the technical requirement for it (for example if you want to bring a trapeze or an aerial hoop). Tomorrow afternoon we will have a look at this list and check if we can have this equipment. If not we will ask you to bring it with you. If possible, we will encourage you to try to fit it on your luggage. But if it is not possible, we will add an extra luggage for you.

If you don’t have any circus skills (like me!), do not worry! You can still use (or not) this 3 minutes to present something in particular.

INFO about 2 sessions:

During the workshop (on the Tuesday) we will have an activity called ‘’Circus in Europe’’. In this session, participants will have the chance to introduce circus from their own country . Learners will discover similarities and differences between circus in different nations and how it has evolved through the ages.

It would be great that you begin to think (in group if possible) about that. If you want to present a circus speciality from your country or group, it will be the moment for that.

On the Wednesday, we will organise a workshop called ‘’Clowning costume workshop’’: Participants will present their clowning costumes brought from home and will have the opportunity to design their own outfit for Friday’s performance.

To prepare this session, we would like you to prepare two things:

-          First, it would be great if you could create in group one clowning costume that represent your country, and bring the costume with you. You will be able to present this costume during this session.

-          Secondly, during this workshop you will be able to create your own clowning costume. We will have a big box with clothes and accessories, but you are more than welcome to bring any eccentric clothes/accessories that you have at home and that you would like to use during the session.

SUITCASE CIRCUS - THE PORTFOLIO

Our Grundtvig Learner Workshop SUITCASE CIRCUS is coming very soon.

You will receive soon a SUITCASE CIRCUS Portfolio. This tool will help you to prepare yourself before the workshop. It would be great if you could fill it (until the page 33) before your arrival in the UK.

MORE INFO: Questions from participants and answer

"For how many persons should we cook on the intercultural event?"
First it is important to bring food that doesn’t need preparation. There will be no facility to cook. So please bring food ready to eat (for example, dry sausage, candy). There will be plates, knives and cups. As well, please make sure that the food can travel; we already had  problem in the past with some kind of cheese with a very short use-by date. The Intercultural evening will take place on the Monday evening.
There will be around 28 persons at this workshops (including participants and organisers).

"The presentation about the city should be only PowerPoint or can we make a video?"
You are more than welcome to produce a video. Just make sure that the duration of the presentation (video/powerpoint and speech) will not being longer than 10 minutes.

THINGS TO BRING TO THE WORKSHOP:

• Bring some food/drink with you typical from your country/region that you would like to offer at the intercultural evening.
• Prepare in group a short presentation (10 minutes maximum for your group) about your city/region through a powerpoint/video. Please bring it on a USBkey and give it to me during the first day of the workshop. Your group will do this presentation during the intercultural evening.
• Bring one CD of music from your country, that you like, for the intercultural evening.
• Bring a clown costume that you have designed (one per group) this may be something typical from your country or just something you create. If you have the chance to bring a costume for a child (age 6/7/8 years) this would be good too for the village celebration we will make on Friday afternoon.
• If you bring electrical appliances don’t forget to bring an UK adaptor.
• Don’t forget to keep and give us at your arrival all original travel tickets and boarding passes.
• Bring the Passport Portfolio (that you should receive very soon. We will send it tonight to your organisation).
